Gary Lyle trained as an artist and then embarked on two years of travel around the world. He returned to England with a keen interest in other cultures but also architecture, furniture and ceramics. He was especially inspired by Japan and, "Shibusa" the aesthetic principle associated with subtle, simple and unobtrusive beauty. He then went on to start a business which developed design software used by record companies to design album artwork in house. However his passion for furniture and interiors never left him and he decided to start a new business as an antiques and art dealer. He now searches and researches antiques and art works to sell and collaborates with interior designers to find interesting and beautiful objects for their projects.
